Speaking of freedom... I did, indeed, succumb to another LEGO kit, this time a 1600+ piece double decker London bus. Frustrated to discover many missing pieces and fits that were less than perfect. Maybe I really AM done, now!

Here's a couple of pics of the LEGO bus. . . . 
And, no, I didn't drop it. It's made to come apart like that to display the interiors. (Forgot to include my specs for scale, but it's about 14" long.)

Wow, that Lego bus is really temptingly cool!
Funkos are something that don't seem much fun to me, maybe if they had some actual purpose like holding pens? Although I guess there's always use as a doorstop if they are heavy enough? The big heads and blank eyes don't attract me somehow like they seem to for others (I'm generally sick up to my teeth of seeing vapid big-eyed Japanese anime girl pics all over the internet anyway). I'm sure there is the exception 'got to have one' Funko out there someplace though, even for me. I just try not to look!

Nice! That'll make a cool display.I was always fascinated by the British double-decker buses. When I was younger I was amazed that those things never toppled over on turns.

We had retired double-deckers brought out to Victoria from England (even with the right side steering) which is supposed to be our tourist image... can't afford to see England, we're closer! I rode on many of them. Some were open-topped, but most were not. There was even a green one or two like On The Buses showed. I think those went out to (world famous) Butchard Gardens.

That bus is awesome! Lego has some really amazing stuff - especially the
"Creator" and "Architecture" series.

It's been a long time since I spent money on an Eaglemoss product. Their ads come up in my Facebook feed daily, and I finally took a look through their various lines. I don't own a single Star Trek collectable, but the Thunderchild piece caught my eye and it's become one of my favorite ship designs. Its inspiration was the P-38 Lightning, which I also love.
The reboot of Battlestar Galactica is my favorite sci-fi show of all time, so I'm thrilled to have this. I am going to try and resist temptation to add battle damage and nuke strike points. |

Love the Lego bus! I really love how Lego have built little touches like
that ability to pull it apart in sections to provide different details.

Did the Star Trek 'Thunderchild' ship inspired by the Lightning plane ever appear in anything? I agree it looks magnificent!

Other than the usual book and game appearances, it was briefly in FIRST CONTACT in the battle against the Borg Cube.
