About 11" tall.

At an appropriate distance...
About as secular as I can get. I surround this display with such Xmas cards as arrive. Like the first one, at right. From my Jewish doctor!

Indulged myself in a 48 inch Batman. Came with a really crummy cape, however, so I checked Amazon and found a much better one intended for an adult costume.
Had to leave him standing in the cardboard base, to be sure he doesn't constantly fall over.

Nice! I Googled to see the original cape, and it does look pretty flimsy and cheap. The one you found looks much better!

There’s a same-sized Superman, but I don’t like the face.

Plunging deeper into plastic model madness, I’ve ordered 1:32 scale kits of a B-24 and a Lancaster. Both have wingspans of about 38”, so I’ll be rearranging the planes hanging from my studio ceiling to get these monsters suspended. I fretted about buying these for a while, mostly intimidated by the paint jobs. Then it dawned on me that several of the pre-constructed models I already have are bare aluminum or stretched canvas painted silver. No exterior paint details or decals. So that will make things MUCH easier. A sidebar to this has been prowling around some modeling sites, checking comments on these particular kits. I was prepared for the usual “this line of rivets is 1000th of a centimeter too high” malarkey, but WOW, I was not prepared for the psycho-ward intensity of some of those people. They make the most rabid comic fanboys look calm and reasonable!!

Somewhat grudgingly, I like this...
...tho it perpetuates that rather silly concept of "1940s versions" of characters actually DESIGNED in the 1940s!!
