Perhaps it should be mentioned that the "Big Brother Is Watching You" pic comes from the 1956 film of Orwell's Nineteen Eighty-Four - which, by the way, must be one of the most ludicrously watered-down movie adaptations ever.

Joe, I think I've seen that film. It finishes with Winston blasting the Big Brother troops with a machine gun. Seriously.

…must be one of the most ludicrously watered-down movie adaptations ever. **** Compared to "Peyton Place" it's a seeringly accurate chapter and verse adaptation! Sometimes you just have to wonder what Hollywood was thinking.
