Grummett doesn't fit.  The rumor is that it's someone who hasn't worked at Marvel since Quesada took over.  Grummett's been on Thunderbolts.

I didn't think that JB was keen on the ultimate universe?

John Romita Jr. doesn't fit either.  He drew ASM until # 508, long after the Quesada regime began.

Perez then? He left Avengers right around the time Marvel left JB.

I thought the same thing as a reference to JB when reading the article.  I think its just a case of Newsarama trying to generate hits on the column by making a not so subtle comment.  With all that I have read on these boards about JB's feeling toward the current Marvel administration, color me shocked if he puts himself in a situation where he would answer to JQ.

I'll follow whatever JB does. If true (I doubt it) I would have preferred him even on a revived Penthouse Comix rather than Ultimate Spider-Man.

As much as I love JB's DC work, I hope he and Marvel mend fences and something like this happens sooner or later.

For years, Mr. Byrne WAS Marvel to a lot of us fans. I feel like that's where he belongs and I think, after so long away, there's a lot of cash to be made in a return to the house of ideas.

I'm doubtful of this rumor but I hope it's at least a premonition of things to come.

Perez has a long term DC exclusive contract - and while their reluctance to just announce WHO it will be makes me think the artist is under-contract elesewhere at the moment - it won't be Perez.

Is this true ?

The King is not dead ?

Kirby is back on a Marvel title ?

( I hope this is not considered as insulting the Great Jack).

No, this is just a very blurry announcement, like creating some pseudo sensational... next, a page 3 pin-up !

We have the chance to have Mister B around, he should know. But as far as I am concerned, he seems to be involved in non-superhero projects...

Of course, like a lot of people, I wish it would be true.
