My love for the Inhumans started when I finally understood why Kirby was "King". This occurred when I first read Fantastic Four 45 and 46 then later 47. My cousin had introduced me to comics and I bought these issues at a flea market (1979). The idea of the Inhumans, the alien city, and alien devices. The next time I felt the felt like this with the Inhumans occurred in 1990 with the art of Jose Ladronn series. The detail and alien sights one saw. I kept looking at the pages wondering what is this, look at the detail.

Anyone else enjoy the Inhumans? What were your favorite writers and artists?

My Favorite Inhumans are Black Bolt, Karnak and Triton

Here is an example of Ladronn’s work.

Triton by a long shot.

I always wanted a solo Triton title, but I guess he was considered useless with Namor running around.

A favorite that I always forget when mentioning favorites, especially from Kirby.

I read an interview with Neal Adams somewhere where the interviewer suggested that Adams' style was not quite right for these God-like Kirby creations, but I dunno...his Black Bolt and Triton in the Avengers were brilliant, I thought.  Can't count the number of times I copied those images as a kid...

I didn't like how the mutant-country of Genosha in the X-Men made the Inhumans seem less special in the Marvel setting.
