A big Thanks to Flavio to inform me about the appearance of Jim Starlin in Paris today. I went and got a GREAT sketch ( as well as a nice signed poster) which I will try to show you all as soon as possible. Mr Starlin was very nice and made a sketch to everybody. The shop, Librairie Déesse, has some great stuff, and the owner is a really nice guy. I spoke with quite a few guys while we were waiting (3 and a half hours), and, big surprise, one of them met JB and told me what a great guy he is.

All in all, a good day!

F.

(Flavio, I got you a signed leaflet)

Edited to add Starlin in subject heading~Matt

Cool, Fabrice!    Hope you can post your sketch sometime soon.  This remains my single favorite comic story ever.

Bonjour Fabrice !

I've always been a fan of Jim Starlin.  His work from that period always got my creative juices flowing.  I'd spend hours recreating his artwork on big rolls of wallpaper backing paper with my ballpoints and felt tip pens.  Must have been somewhere between 10 and 12 years old at the time... ah, good memories!

Does anyone happen to know why  Starlin's first Warlock series is not reprinted in  a single volume?  I know it's in a couple of  series reprints but  not an  Essentials or  Masterworks  or  any of the other collected formats.  And the later  ones --Infinity  Quest  Gems  Wars  etc  are.

Yes, agreed, very reminiscent of the Warlock  with  one  version  seeing the  death  of  the other.

Bruno--

(Translation so as not to be rude: Bruno said JB had done a "portrait" sketch for him years ago and I was asking if he could upload it.)

Hello Bruno,

Where were you ? I spoke with a few people during the wait, and, as usual, nobody asked any names, so I don't know who I spoke with. I got poster #103 of #150, so I was the 47th waiting.

I'll post my sketch as soon as possible.

F.
