Here's one for you -- the "Uh-Huh" song for Diet Pepsi that Ray Charles did 10-12 years ago.

"You got the right one baby ... UH-HUH!"

No idea where it came from.

Five hours later and that stupid Fergie song is still stuck in my head.  I may shoot myself.

Since it's usually a Wiggles song or something from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, I'm happy to have anything but.  Unfortunately, it's currently "Rock-a-bye Your Bear."  Damn Wiggles.  I'm going to torture my son with easy listening when he grows up.

I don't know the name of the song, but it's from the SSI computer game Death Knights of Krynn and it marks one of my favorite gaming moments.  My friend George and I were playing and we were certain this one ally was going to betray us.  Anyway, there was a certain theme, reminiscent of "Vader's March" that played whenever you faced one of the game's Death Knights.  So we face down the putative bad guy and that's it, game's over.  We return to our ally to give him the good news.  As we entered the room we both remarked that we were just SURE this guy was gonna betray us, but he turned out okay.

Cue Death Knight music...

Thanks for the save, Brian.  I just got "The Crunge" stuck in my head, after reading my post again in the 'Worst by the best' thread.  I'd much rather be "Comfortably Numb"!

Got To Get You Into My Life (the Beatles' version--- which is odd, because I prefer the EWF version)

Speaking of "Got to Get You Into My Life," I recall being very confused about remembering it as a "new" song at the top of the charts in 1976 (very strong memories of that for me!), and years later hearing that The Beatles had broken up some six years earlier.

Why was that song re-released in '76, anyway?  Did it have anything to do with the Earth, Wind & Fire version?  Or do I have that backwards?

The Earth, Wind and Fire version charted a full two years later (as a result of
the horrid Sgt. Pepper movie with Peter Frampton and the Bee Gees).

"Got To Get You Into My Life" was a single release off the "Love Songs"
collection Capitol released in '76 as a means by which they could keep the
Beatles cash cow profitable.

And now what's going through my head is the Alice Cooper/Bee Gees
version of "Because" from the aforementioned wretched movie.

Methinks because of the timelessness of this thread, it should be the first sticky thread of the music board.  Just think, one day it could rival the sketchbook thread on the main board!

Please shoot Fergie.

On the ride home I got "Lollipop" stuck in my head. You may need to save a bullet for me too.

Sticky thread? Neat.

When I woke this morning, thanks to a particularly graphic dream I had, the
song in my head was "Walking With A Ghost" by Tegan and Sara. Right now,
though, it's "Key Largo" by Bertie Higgins. Lord knows why that song would
pop into my head after all these years.
