Having read that the female Robin in DKR was my suggestion (I even
provided Frank with a sketch), the customer asked for my versions of the
characters from that story. Thing is, without the hulking Batman, it just
didn't come across as that. So I sort of penciled the piece "as" Frank, and
inked it as me.*
*Tho a little Klaus seems to have snuck in here and there!!

Parts of the piece, like the Batman's shoes scream Frank to me. other parts, like Robin from head to toe, are classic JB. Very cool. Love the idea.....would love to see your take on Marv

John, have you ever drawn this version of Batman before? This commission raises all kinds of possibilities. John's take on the Batman by Gaslight(Mignola), John's take on Year One Batman.....hmmmm
