I hope you're enjoying some time off, JB, and that you'll be inspired to start a new project again when the time feels right.

If anyone has earned a break, John, it is you. Sit, kick back and enjoy.

Mind you...you could take a 'bus mans holiday' ;)

All you would need is a company with characters which hold -no- meaning to you.

...take some classes in something interesting.

•••

Not an option. I have a lifelong hatred of school. Even the thought makes my stomach clench.

I didn't even realize that you had wrapped up New Visions. I'll miss it once the last issue hits the stand.

I hope you enjoy your break, or the start of your retirement, whichever it may be.

How about volunteering somewhere that means something to you, and that needs help?  And that goes for everybody here.  If you're bored, go help somebody else.  It's not just ladling out broth at a soup kitchen.  Help hospital outpatients find their way to their appointments, teach English as second language, organize or coach children's sports...the list of volunteers needed in every community is long.

Some of you seem to be missing an important point, here. I'm not actually looking for something to do. I'm quite enjoying, as my father would have said, "doing bugger all!"

A friend of mine once made the comment,
that if they won the lottery, they would
still have a job or otherwise they'd get
bored.

To which I called bullshit. I could fill a
life time of days not doing labor, were I
independently wealthy.

The best are the days you don't even get
out of your jim-jams.

Busy doing nothing,

Nothing the whole day through.

Trying to find

Lots of things not to do.

Busy going nowhere,

Isn't it just a crime?

I'd like to be unhappy, but

I never do have the time!

There's nothing better than a day spent just watchin' the wheels go 'round and 'round. I really love to watch them roll.

You've earned the do-nothing time, JB. Enjoy it as long as you want to, says I.

JB, I hope your respite is enjoyable. I also hope it is as long as it has to
be but no longer than you wish it to be.
