You would have had to head to their table and sign up immediately after the doors opened on Friday last year, since their list got filled up real quick. I had to be satisfied with the "steam-punk ECCC" print that they brought last year: http://superpopculturecube.blogspot.com/2012/04/terry-dodson -steampunk-whale.html Steam-powered flying killer whales... Gotta luv 'em!

I'll be at ECCC on Sunday. This year I hope to get there earlier than 2:00 PM, which was pretty bone-headed last time

When buying back issues at a convention do you guys haggle over the price? Most of the dealers have big signs that say 50% off or whatever. Are there certain dealers who won't haggle?

Matthew, if you're buying a lot, say more than 10, they mayhaggle a bit or cut you a deal. On the last day of the con, you'll get your best deals because they don't want to lug all that stuff back with them, but you also run the chance of not finding what you want.

Threads about upcoming conventions have the same effect on me that Back to School ads on the TV used to. A nervous tick in the back of my mind, accompanied by a sinking feeling in the pit of my stomach! The "Back to School" response persisted for DECADES past the ads applying to me in any way. I hope the Con response fades sooner! It's been, what, eight years since I went to a con?
