I was talking to Howard Mackie on the phone while I drew some of this, and I mentioned to him that it was probably the biggest Doom I have ever done. If the good Doctor stood up, he'd probably be about four feet tall!

I am impressed. Mr. Byrne, this is another superb rendition of Doom. I still remember the piece you've made with Doom clutching a globe in his hand. Everytime I see you revisit Doom I'm thinking you have a great Doom story in mind with every stroke of the inks. Good stuff.

Yes, I suppose it is. This is for Jim Warden, and Jim asked that I do a shot of
Doom that evoked those big posters Marvel used to do in the Sixties and
Seventies.

The details on the background are incredible, especially on the pillar. This one is just brilliant. Reminds me of the Doom character pose you did a few years back, but bigger and better
