This has nothing to do with the comic book being discussed, but rather in response to David's post:

More than likely, in a number of years, TV will be more like YouTube. In fact, I believe that TV and computers will be combined. The concept behind YouTube is not a faddish idea, it is the future of entertainment and communication between people all over the world. Like eBay before it, and any invention of merit, YouTube fills a demand. It's more than just people posting clips of TV shows and posting music videos.

Back on topic about the comic:

I hate the way Captain America is being portrayed in that story.

actually... adding to Matt's OT...

DVD players are now beyond simple players...

they are computers that play DVD's...
they are game systems that play DVD's

everything will converge to the computer being THE entertainment center...
especially with IP-TV already out there and GROWING!!!

pretty soon, you won't need you-tube to publish...

in fact get yourself a domainsite with space and you publish and keep your own content current... it's that simple... I'm doing it... and I can as well as anyone else...

find a topic you know... get the webcam, free streaming software, get your domain site, get hi-speed internet connection and become your own TV station... when you're not live, just pump public domain features available at archive.org from your computer or VCR...

I kid you not.

I prefer the old Marvel comics, where Cap fights other heroes for half a comic, laments over Bucky for a few pages, then bangs Zemo on the head with his shield.  THAT'S CAP!

While we were watching Heroes last night my wife asked me if anyone had determined whether the success of Heroes has led to increased comic book sales.  I told her that a gun held to people's heads couldn't increase comic book sales.

She laughed.

I didn't.

This excerpt from Civil War: Frontline just serves to underscore my point -- this type of crap would hold no attraction to fans of Heroes who suddently found themselves interested in the concept of superheroes . . . and I can't see how it would be of any interest at all to new comic readers in general (ESPECIALLY kids).

Yes it's true dialogue. She has Cap completely speachless with her mad cognitive skills. There's more pages in the link. She goes on something like this:"*I* had to hide in a subway because *you* saved my hide you ****! Well! I didn't ask you too!"
