Uuummmm...okay.
It's amazing how 30 years later werewolf imagery was still firmly in the grasp of Lon Chaney Jr's WOLFMAN.
And, yeah...I'd buy that book.
It's also amazing that after 30+ years I still can't type for shit.

Yet another underappreciated gem of a comic.Better than 90% of the junk on the stands now (IMO).

Well, the stories in that issue were written by Russ Jones (under a pseudonym), who is a staunch Universal traditionalist when it ocmes to the Big Three monsters.

And more than likely, that scene happens somewhere in that story.

LOOOOVED Atlas Comics when they came out - totally out of the blue,
too. Just went to the Pggly Wiggly one day and there they were. Tiger-
Man, the Destructor, Demon Hunter (who made the jump to Marvel, didn't
he?) and my favorite, The Brute.

Now, technically speaking, is it in fact actually possible for the
Werewolf to manifest under the circumstances of the moon as it is
depicted in this image? As you can clearly see, the height and colour
of the moon in combination with the leafless tree conflicts with
the classic theoretical formula for transformation to occur . . . blah,
blah, blah, nit pick, nit pick (kills self).

Wayne - Wasn't there an Atlas character called Ironjaw as well? Or did I imagine that one?
Great cover, Stéphane. I particularly like the tree. Nothing sets off a Wolfman like a really gnarled, evil looking tree, in my opinion. It's as necessary as the torn pants and the full moon, I think.
Marcel - Were you talking about the transformation as it occurs in the southern or northern hemisphere?
