First question, yes. Second question, no.

When I did this, I was following Jim Shooter's DAZZLER graphic novel, in which the lead character was shown in bed with a fat old movie producer. So I deduced it would be okay to do a similar scene with Jen and Wyatt. Shooter saw it and ordered it redrawn.

The editor and I set the scenes side-by-side for comparison, and wondered what the heck was "wrong" with ours, versus the Dazzler scene. In the end, we decided our scene must have failed to pass muster because She-Hulk was not degrading herself.

Anyone have a scan of the DAZZLER scene?  I've long since lost that book.

I hope this wan't an example of Shooter letting his personal opinions effect his judgement. "His" She-hulk with a normal person sort of thing.

I don't think this constitutes as an R-rated scene nowadays.

Good picture.

For whatever reason,  I was a Dazzler fan.  Yes, I still can't believe it.  I think it happened because I could actually complete a series because the back issues were so cheap.  Anyway . . . .

I remember getting that Dazzler Graphic Novel and, as JB says, I was shocked and appalled that Dazzler would sleep with a fat movie producer.  Not that the sex part was shocking, but that Dazzler basically succumbed to the casting couch.  I read that story once and I never liked the character again.

On a side note, while I like the nonpublished page, isn't that delving into the much maligned  "want to know the sex lives of the super heroes" from the "You Know You Are Too Old For Comics" list and thread?

I thought I had lost the She-Hulk GN long ago.  Fortunately, I stumbled across it in my parents' basement a year or so ago (and in damn good condition, too).

Remeber Charles, this would have been in a book inteded strictly for older fans, as opposed to being in a mainstream book.

The problem is stuff like this invading stuff ment for all ages.

I first discovered the She-Hulk graphic novel when I was around 13 and instantly fell in love with it. It's very "edgy" (sexy and hip) without pushing the boundaries too far. It's basically a PG-113 SHE-HULK movie.

And the shot of She-Hulk bending the gun in her bare hands, while wearing what was left of her shirt after bad guys had shot at her, and saying, "Isn't it lucky I'm damn near bullet proof?" is still one of my favorite panels ever.

Stephen, that panel always sticks out to me, as well!
