::sigh:: this really makes me miss the legion -

my favorites included: Karate Kid and Projectra, Wildfire, Timber Wolf, and White Witch -- alas it's been along time since i've found an iteration of the team which was readable.

I started buying the Legion right before Superboy left...and came back again...Think it was the issues where Tyroc left because his island home was going to disappear forever.

This is honestly the Legion I want.

Thanks for the update Zaki. I think that this looks pretty good. I didn't love the Teen TItans, but it was ok. I'm okay with a retooling like this.

I know it's probably not a popular choice 'round here, but I count the "5 Years Later" Legion as one of my favorite eras.

Zaki,

And to many Legion fans, it's the beginning of the end.

Ultra Boy had the coolest uniform, even before the 70's  visual revamp. He's still one of my favorites.
Superboy and Mon-El almost seemed to be brothers when I was a kid. Which I guess was the point.

Wildfire is a great character concept.

I was also partial to Blok, Colossal Boy and Tyroc, even though the latter had like, two adventures with the group.
Timber Wolf was always cool, but the 70's costume was the best. I always wanted to see him pair up with Wildfire in an adventure.

I also liked non-Legionnaire Duplicate Boy, and wished to see more of him.

I definitely think Legion had a rebirth during the Levitz/Giffen/Mahlsted era. The interplay between various personalities within the group was fantastic. It wasn't all "Golly gee we're super teens who fight crime! Let's all be friends" I especially liked the interplay between the various couples within the group, Garth/Irma, Brin/Ayla and Mon-El/Tasmia among my favorites.

Later versions of Legion introduced some good characters, Like Celeste, Kent Shakespeare, Andromeda, Xs, Monstress, Thunder, and returned to us Karate Kid and Ferro Lad, for which I am grateful. I'm hoping these characters reappear in the newest version.

They let Matter Eater Lad and Bouncing Boy into the club, but initially rejected Polar Boy, and Chlorophylll Kid? Talk about messed up teenagers.

*****

Thus my saying it's probably not a popular choice.

I still like it though, so there.

Mon-El, Ultra Boy, Wildfire because they are cool; Matter-Eater Lad and Bouncing Boy because they are not.

Never been a Legion fan, even if I like some of the characters: the 3 founding members, Brainiac 5, Dream Girl and Superboy.

I have read the great darkness saga a few days ago and I liked it, while instead I didn't appreciate the current Legion of Superb-Heroes (bought the issue featuring Supergirl, dropped the title with that issue).
