IDEA:
JB drawing a complete comicbook is (if I remember correctly from previous posts and threads) costly...

BUT, what if WE ALL POOL OUR PENNIES together and pony up for individual pages of a 32 or 64 page story by JB? The cost is reduced across the board...

The catch would be:

1) The story is a secret, except who stars in it...

and

2) Purchasers call blind dibs on whatever page number

and

3) the pages won't be viewable until the finished product.

What does of the body think?

I put a price of $20,000 on this, years ago. That's for
22 pages, penciled, inked, lettered.

Lot of pennies!

Hmmm...sounds VERY interesting, but how much would each of our respective pages cost?  And would JB let us print up just enough photo-copied 'issues' so that everyone who bought a page could view the book in it's entirety?

Yes, but would you actually take payment in pennies?

Perhaps a 22 page splash type book, so every page could be the same price and the total cost would be divided equally among 22 people.  I'd do that.....

Not that I want to sound like a character out of "I'm gonna get you sucka"...

that's about $900.00

let's expand on this: what if it's penciled and inked and the script is released for Us of the body to letter?

where would that put us Great Landru?

Lot of pennies!

200 people times $100 and you got it. I'll have my $100 ready when it's all figured out. If you get more people it's even less.

I'd favor 22 people, who each get to keep their page when it'a all done.  I'd pony up for a page.  And I'd love to see John do a 22 page splash book.  Imagine how amazing it would be.

Who would be the characters and how do you get everyone to agree on then? Everyone on this board has such diverse tastes, I can already hear the heads exploding
