Which was your first comic book written and/or drawn by Mr. Byrne?

Mine was the Italian edition of MARVEL TEAM UP #79 in 1988 when I was 5. The same comic book contained a part of the "Pegasus project saga" appeared in MARVEL TWO IN ONE (it wasn't the entire story: published as backup, it was broken by Italian editors). I loved these two stories, they were nice for a child like I was (and I still love them) and the arts were superb (but Kulan Gath seemed very scary to me!).

When in 1995 I began to readin' superheroes again I discovered the rest of Byrne's production and declared him my favourite complete author. I became a Byrne Victim for all my life!

Wow , I wish I could remember it has been so long ago and i doubt i even have it anymore. I would guess that it is either a Xmen comic or Captain America

Untold Tales of The Batman #1, though I didn't know it was JB at the time,
or how significant it was. I just thought it was really cool Jim Aparo art.

After that, it would be his first issue as writer/artist on FF, but the first
book I bought because JB was doing it was Alpha Flight #1.

Doomsday +1 was my first Byrne comic... I've been a fan throughout his entire comics career and continue to follow him wherever his pencil leads.

This one...
(For a time, I actually thought the cover was by JB and Austin. Which goes to show that in the beginning I, too, was very much a fan of the Byrne-Austin team. Well, that changed in the late 1980s, when I got my first look at JB's inks...)

The first time I saw JB's artwork was on Iron Fist back in the mid/late 70's, and frankly I didn't much care for it. But I liked the Iron Fist character, so I bought the books, and slowly he started to grow on me. By the time the crossover with the X-Men took place, I recall thinking, "Hey, Byrne does a great job on X-Men...If Dave Cockrum ever leaves the book, he'd be perfect to take it over..."

Didn't take long after that before the guy I hadn't liked had moved to the top of my "must buy anything he draws" list...

My first Byrne comic was Fantastic Four #238 (Reed and Sue vs. Spinnerette).  Alas, my second Byrne FF was #255, so it took a few years before I found out why Frankie was flashing Johnny...

Iron Fist 15. I got it at a flea market for a dime. Only reason I got it was because the X-Men were in it. It was later that I realized it was done by JB.

Tough question and one I don't know the answer to. I can tell you I got hooked on Byrne from reading Uncanny X-Men.

Uncanny X-Men #129. I didn't even know how to pronounce his name ( I pronounced it Byron) but I knew what I liked.

Most likely it was Amazing Spider-Man 206 (the Jonas Harrow story) from 1980.  Of course, at the time I paid no attention to who drew it.  Within the next 3 years or so, I started reading Fantastic Four, then Alpha Flight, then the "Dark Phoenix Saga" trade paperback.
